Last week we had the pleasure of hosting the Select Club from Carrollton Bank. They came out on Amtrak from St. Louis and then chartered a motor coach for the rest of the day. The group had a German day — first a guided tour of Hermann, followed by a catered lunch on our deck then a wine tasting paired with local sausage and cheese. The group of 55 then spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing and enjoying our wines and views.
If this day trip sounds like a good time, give us a call to set up your visit. We will coordinate your lunch with our exclusive caterer, Herman Wurst Haus, and schedule you for our wine tasting. If you are looking to add more activities to your trip, contact Kay Schwinke, Hermann’s director of group sales. Kay can be reached at email@example.com or by calling her at 573-690-7779 and she will gladly assist you with your plans, be sure to tell her OakGlenn sent you!
Till next time…Cheers!
It’s been an interesting week for sure. Earlier I launched the new site. Yesterday Glenn, Carol and I were at a conference in Jeff City hosted by the Missouri Travel Council. We learned a few things about PR which is always a good thing and yes we’re putting what we learned into practice. More on that later….
Now with all these new things we’re experimenting with opening up the grounds for weddings. We’ve talked about this from time to time and the answer has always been something like we’re not going to do that. If there’s one thing I’ve learned about Glenn and Carol is things are always subject to change and most of the time that’s a good thing. We frequently talk about maximizing what we have available to us, how do we better utilize the grounds, what can we do to keep things fresh kind of stuff. So……
Tomorrow we’re hosting a wedding. I’m going to be up on the bluff taking a few pics of this landmark event and to see how it all goes. I’ll make it a point to report back on how things go but in the meantime, I’ll see ya on the bluff.
